ORGANISATIONS

PlayMode Academy supports teams in mental health, health, support work and social care to deliver more engaging, accessible services using creative digital tools – including Minecraft.

Arranging training for your team

  • Level 1 in Using Minecraft as a Therapeutic Tool is the first step on your team's journey to integrating Minecraft in to your service. Level 1 is a self-paced, online course that gives your team a strong foundation in the ethical and inclusive use of Minecraft in therapeutic settings.

A group discount is available for teams of six or more.

  • Once Level 1 is completed, your team can progress to Level 2, a live, immersive training delivered online or in person. Level 2 in Using Minecraft as a Therapeutic Tool supports practical implementation of what has been learned in Level 1 and provides the opportunity to build confidence and reflect with your team on how you will integrate Minecraft in to your service.

The training can be delivered over one full day or two half days.

You can schedule training dates that works best for your team.

  • If your team is looking for a broader introduction to digital approaches, PlayMode Academy also offer a half-day or full-day live training on Using Creative Digital Tools Therapeutically. Using Creative Digital Tools Therapeutically is a practical, reflective workshop that introduces a range of accessible digital tools and how they can be used to support engagement, communication, and emotional expression.

Whatever your setting – whether you work in a hospice, charity, school, or NHS service – I can tailor the training to align with your service priorities.

  • Book a free initial chat with Ellie to talk through your service context and training goals. Ellie can help you explore the right training route for your team and answer any questions. Use the ‘Get in Touch’ button above to book your free chat.

OUR IMPACT

At PlayMode Academy, social impact is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to make mental health support more engaging, inclusive and accessible – especially for children and young people who are often marginalised or excluded by traditional therapeutic models.

  • "Ellie has been a joy to work with. Her friendly, warm and professional approach to training and supporting the team in learning to use Minecraft has been brilliant. Ellie is knowledgeable and thorough and her skill and enthusiasm for working in new ways with children and young people has been inspiring for the team. The quality of her online and face to face training is excellent and the team have gained new skills, increased confidence and are using their learning to work in new and innovative ways with children and young people who have been bereaved or who are facing the death of a significant person in their lives. Wide ranging, Ellie covered everything from the technical skills, equipment and software, through to the therapeutic work and the ethical considerations and boundaries of online work. I wholeheartedly recommend Ellie as a trainer and would not hesitate to work with her again."

  • “I highly recommend Ellie Finch as a consultant in Minecraft for Therapists. She has expert knowledge of working with clients in Minecraft and shares her experiences in a really engaging way with enthusiasm and also patience for those of us that are not as used to working and playing in Minecraft. She has a clear way of explaining the necessary steps to ensure a secure setting for working in this software and does so with a warm and enthusiastic touch. I am now happily trying out Minecraft as I can really see how this can be vital resource for working with clients in all age groups, but especially young people. An innovative training for a cutting edge way of working therapeutically.”
